Why I am a Bon Jovi Fan

Have you watched the most recent Oprah featuring Jon and a performance by Bon Jovi?

The show speaks so loudly to why many are fans of the band, including why I am a fan... because of the band's spirit.

The loving gift that the band gave to Oprah's Angel Network last year was amazing. Even better, they didn't stop at the donation - the band was personally involved in building a community! A community that changed the lives of those receiving the keys to their new homes and made such an impact on the hearts of viewers.

I am so proud to be a Bon Jovi fan! It is not all about the music. It is the music and the people behind the music.

Bon Jovi make a difference in so many ways.

More Bon Jovi on Oprah News from BonJovi.com!

BON JOVI on OPRAH!!! TUNE IN!

(Wednesday, September 20, 2006)
TODAY, SEPTEMBER 20th
JON BON JOVI on OPRAH -- but there's SO much more... Check your local listings
Lordy we hate keeping secrets so now we can share -- not everything but some highlights:
1) Jon Bon Jovi was in Chicago yesterday and sat down with Oprah to be interviewed as a follow up to the $1 Million Donation to Oprah's Angel Network. Look for a good 30+ minutes of airtime being Bon Jovi related - either interview or filmed footage.
2) Jon wasn't alone in Chicago -- Tico, David, Richie and Hugh joined him and they all performed live. You'll have to see the show to see the crowd's reaction -- but kudos to everyone who pulled off a big suprise. But keep a box of Kleenex handly - its a moving hour and you will be VERY proud to be a fan of this band.
3) While the other band members headed home, Jon and Richie headed to Nashville and were the surprise guests at the 2nd Annual Stars For Harvest benefit. Singer/songwriters got up on stage at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville and performed. Jon and Richie sat on two stools with acoustic guitars and sang LIVIN' ON A PRAYER, WHO SAYS YOU CAN'T GO HOME and WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE to a huge welcome by Music City USA.
4) Jon and Richie are beginning work with songwriters in Nashville on their next project...
5) Told ya -- things don't stay quiet in the Bon Jovi world for long...

New OperationBonJovi.com on its way!

After a terrible hack, we are back!

We are moving servers and redesigning our site to better fit our primary goals:

1) To get more radio and music tv airplay for Bon Jovi
2) To connect with fans who want the same things

In the meantime, if you find a link that is not working, please contact me using the contact information at the right side of our main page and I will take a peek if it is not one that we have caught yet. We are trying to avoid some of the spam that we were getting from our old site, so we are taking some direct email links out and putting new stuff in. [To reach Lisa, email her at OperationBonJovi at LisaM.biz or use the link in our contact section.]

Basically, someone hacked our site, and when I caught the hack it was too late and our site services were kerplunked. Luckily, we had our domain from another service and OBJ is here to stay!

Bon Jovi on CBS!

*Note from OBJ: this is late news. The show has already aired. We just wanted to post the tidbit and excitement of Bon Jovi on TV!

From BonJovi.com:

BON JOVI ROCK FASHION ROCKS - TONIGHT @ 8:00PM(Sep 8)
Tune in TONIGHT, FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 8th to FASHION ROCKS! CBS. 8:00PM ET. Lots o'stars. BON JOVI rocked. Standing O. Looked great. Fun night out on the town. Jon & Dorothea walked the red carpet along with their daughter. Jon Bon Jovi joined Kenneth Cole on the red carpet; they just announced their initiative that has them partnering to design a collection of jackets with proceeds going to HELP USA which helps the homeless. Richie Sambora walked the red carpet with Denise Richards. David Bryan and Tico Torres also walked the red carpet. Photos abound. The band split their time between the dressing room, the shopping lounge and their on camera seats when they weren't on the stage. They perform LIVIN' ON A PRAYER (acoustic - just Jon Bon Jovi and Lorenza Ponce on violin) before kicking into WHO SAYS YOU CAN'T GO HOME (electric.) Everyone was on their feet. After the show, Tico and David and their significant others, friends headed to the big party on the Rockefeller Ice rink til the wee hours. Check out the show. Enjoy.

20th Anniversary of Slippery When Wet Interview with JBJ

From BonJovi.com:

REDBEARD Interviews JON BON JOVI about SLIPPERY WHEN WET 20TH ANNIVERSARY..
(Thursday, September 7, 2006)
To quote a few lads from Liverpool... "it was 20 years ago today..." OK, well, maybe not 20 years to the day... but 20 years ago, a piece of vinyl was released. A little album called SLIPPERY WHEN WET (feeling nostalgic already?) came out in August 1986. Well, yesterday (September 6th) before heading over to rehearse for Fashion Rocks, JON BON JOVI slipped into the New York City studios of Q104.3 and sat down to talk with the radio personality Redbeard (who was based in TX) about the album and phenomenon that was/is SLIPPERY WHEN WET. (For you longtimers, if you've seen the home video ACCESS ALL AREAS - either on VHS or via watching here on www.bonjovi.com, you'll recognize Redbeard as the DJ interviewing Jon in the studio about their first trip to Moscow to plan the big festival and their plan to return in the summer for what would become the Moscow Music Peace Festival!) Redbeard has been on the scene a longtime! Here's the recap/promo on RedBeard's website:

SEPTEMBER 25, 2006 -- SLIPPERY WHEN WET
The third time was the charm for the New Jersey quintet Bon Jovi when they released Slippery When Wet 20 years ago, packed with hits "You Give Love a Bad Name," "Living on a Prayer," "Wanted Dead or Alive," & "Never Say Goodbye." Slippery When Wet has sold more than 12 million copies in the U.S. alone!

Redbeard's IN THE STUDIO in-depth interviews/music programs are syndicated. For more information on Redbeard, the series and on what stations, in what markets and at what times you'll be able to listen to the JON BON JOVI / SLIPPERY WHEN WET 20th Anniversary Retrospective Special, please go to the website:
www.inthestudio.net

Click on "On The Radio" and the listing of stations will come up so you can find the program in your part of the country. Enjoy!!!
