CONGRATULATIONS to BON JOVI and JENNIFER NETTLES. The nominations for the 40th CMA Awards were announced this morning and BON JOVI and JENNIFER NETTLES received a nomination for MUSICAL EVENT OF THE YEAR for their chart-topping smash hit "WHO SAYS YOU CAN'T GO HOME." The single was #1 on the Billboard Hot Country charts for two weeks straight marking Jennifer Nettles first ever #1 (the band's 5th and Jon Bon Jovi's 6th) and giving BON JOVI the title of first ever rock band to have a #1 song on the Country Chart.

The CMA nominations were announced this morning - a handful were announced live on Good Morning America, with the remainder being announce during a press conference in Nashville. "The 40th Annual CMA Awards" will be hosted for the third time by Arista Nashville super duo Brooks & Dunn and broadcast live from the Gaylord Entertainment Center in Nashville, Monday, Nov. 6 on ABC. (Last year, the CMAs were held in New York City at Madison Square Garden. BON JOVI and JENNIFER NETTLES performed the song live together at that awards ceremony.)

Other nominees in this category are: BROOKS & DUNN (with Sheryl Crow and Vince Gill) for "BURNING BRIDGES"; TIM McGRAW & FAITH HILL for "LIKE WE NEVER LOVED AT ALL"; GRETCHEN WILSON (with Merle Haggard) for "POLITICALLY UNCORRECT" and BRAD PAISLEY (with Dolly Parton) for "WHEN I GET WHERE I'M GOING."
