Thanks to Peg (PegJovi) for this report on a very cool radio station in Texas!

Today, I called my local radio station to request Bon Jovi. I told the DJ, "Look, I wanna hear Bon Jovi, but I don't wanna hear Wanted, or Livin On A prayer, cuz thats all you guys ever play!!!" He cracked up and said "Well what do you want to hear? BOUNCE!??" I'm like, "Yeah, Bounce is cool...but even something different from the NJ album or KTF would be ok too. I know you really won't, but thats my 2 cents." So, next thing I hear is my voice saying "Hey! How about some Bon Jovi!!?" and the DJ saying, "This goes out to a girl who called in and didn't want to hear the same ole same ole Bon Jovi, so this is for you darlin'!" And wa-la! "BOUNCE"! Then I called him back to thank him and he said, "I've added it to the rotation just for you!" COOL eh?!

This is a great example of how fan requests can still make a difference in the now high-tech and corporate (and sometimes completely computerized!) world of radio in the USA. Sounds like you had a fun conversation with the DJ - keeping it light & humorous and getting more Bon Jovi airplay along the way! Way to go, Peg!
